Nicaragua: Full Time Mission Letter

Well…we are taking a leap of faith!  We feel God calling us to Nicaragua for FULL TIME Missions!  We are proud to announce that our church, West Cabarrus, will be our “sending” church and accountability partners.

What do we plan to do in Nicaragua??
We have several ministry goals.

  • We want to live among the people and establish relationships.
  • Through the friendships we establish, we hope to begin Bible studies in our home.     Sharing God’s Word and discipling are the primary reasons we feel led to Nicaragua.
  • Another goal, and one that Jeremy is partial to, is working with our hands by helping in various building projects around the area.  There is much need for adequate housing.  We feel this is a great way to show the love of Christ by giving of our time to help people in need.
  • The last goal, which we are the MOST excited about, is helping area churches start AWANA clubs.  For those not familiar with this club, it is an acronym for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed, based on 2 Timothy 2:15.  Our own children have been involved with AWANA since their preschool years.  This Bible club focuses on training children and youth to memorize and hide God’s Word in their hearts.  The children memorize scripture, learn Bible truths, and have game time.  Not only will the AWANA club train children, but it will also provide many opportunities to share the message of salvation with their parents.   What a great way to reach the whole family!

We are writing in hopes that you will join us in our goals by supporting us both prayerfully and financially.  After our visits to Nicaragua and a great deal of research, our budget will be around $2,700 per month to supply our physical and ministry needs.  Would you prayerfully consider supporting us?  No amount is too small.

If you feel the Holy Spirit leading you to support us monthly, we will be extremely grateful.  Any support money received while we are preparing to go will be kept in an account at West Cabarrus (WCC).  It will help us with our start-up costs such as airline tickets, setting up our home in Nicaragua, and obtaining our Nicaraguan Residency.
Your monthly support, which will be tax deductible, can be mailed to West Cabarrus Church or placed in the offering plate.  Please write “Perry-Nicaragua” on the memo line.

Once we are in Nicaragua, we will diligently send monthly updates through email (the mail service is not reliable), Facebook, and through our blog: PerryGangNicaragua.blogspot.com.  We sincerely thank you for your prayerful consideration.  We will take nothing lightly and do our best to honor God.  If you can’t support us financially, we understand and will appreciate your prayers for our family.

Rejoicing that He is always in control,
Jeremy, Wendy, Greyson, Avery, Addyson, and Bryson Perry
